Send a deletion request
Email hello@sidefold.co with the subject “Sidefold data deletion request.” Send the request from the Google email attached to your Sidefold account. If your account uses only Instagram, include the connected Instagram username.
Tell us whether you want to delete a connected service, a specific publication, or the entire account. We may ask you to verify control of the connected account before deleting data.
Remove Sidefold from Google or Instagram
You can also revoke Sidefold directly through your Google Account connections or Instagram’s connected-app settings. Revoking access prevents future API access but does not by itself delete manuscript snapshots, publications, orders, or other Sidefold records already stored. Email us if you also want those records deleted.
What we delete
For a verified full-account request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your Sidefold profile, provider identifiers, encrypted Google and Instagram tokens, stored manuscript content, publication settings, unpublished storefronts, creator analytics, affiliate records, and active sessions where they are no longer required.
For an Instagram-only request, we delete the Instagram account identifier, username, encrypted access token, expiry, and stored connection record. Sidefold does not store Instagram messages or comments.
What may need to remain
We may retain limited Sidefold subscription, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal records for the period required by Spanish or EU law or needed to establish or defend legal claims. Data in restricted backups is removed on the backup lifecycle and is not used for ordinary product purposes.
Timing and confirmation
We acknowledge and respond to verified requests without undue delay and normally within one month. Complex requests may take longer where the GDPR permits, in which case we will explain the extension. We will confirm when deletion is complete or explain any data we are legally required to retain.
